Hawaiian Bodywork Flying Seminar
"Flying" is fundamental to Hawaiian Bodywork. It effects fliudity, balance and coordination in the body and also in the psychological base. It is part of the ancient tradition of the Hawaiian Kahuna.
In Flying we practice the "step" of the Navigator.
That is a complex movement, through which the navigators in ancient
Hawaii expanded their awareness. They had no technical instruments
when they for example had to find the way to new islands for their
whole tribe. They found the way some thousands miles across the ocean
through their expanded awareness; through this they could even by
the taste of the sea water know in which part of the ocean they exacly
were.
The name "Flying" refers to the Frigatebird, which starts off from
the cliffs in the morning, soars all day over the ocean and only
returns to the cliffs in the evening. He can not swim on the water
like seagulls.
In Flying, too, you can experience how you are eventually
carried on infinitely by the movement; and also how through the
flowing movement doors to new levels of awareness are opening up
for you.
In Flying, you become aware of the whole range of possible
movement. Changes in the physical pattern of movement bring about fast changes
and expansion of awareness. When you can apply all possible movements with
fluidity you will also become aware of the full extent of your abilities
and possibilities in other areas of your life and can apply them
with fluidity. Limiting concepts are transformed.
- The body finds balance and harmony
- The awareness expands
- All senses become clear and active
- You can transform your limitations in the movement and experience
physical bliss
